Core Values

How we serve & support our communities.

Our Story

The Interior Regional Housing Authority (IRHA) is a non-profit organization with authority derived from both state and federal law. The IRHA was formed in 1974 along with thirteen other Alaskan housing authorities to administer programs of the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) throughout the state. The IRHA serves the tribes of the Doyon Region, encompassing remote traditional villages in the Interior, and Alaska’s second largest city, Fairbanks.

Trusted Partners

IRHA Leadership

The IRHA Board, team, and staff represent communities across Interior Alaska, combining experience and cultural knowledge to guide housing programs and serve residents.

Innovation

We are inspired to bring new ideas, methods, products, services, and solutions to make a positive impact in the communities we serve.

Respect

We believe in honoring indigenous traditions, advocating for self-determination, and mutual respect for people, animals, and the earth we’ve been provided.

Honesty

We are a company made up of individuals that believe in integrity, in doing what is right, while being transparent and respecting our traditional ways.

Accountability

We are a service organization that is focused on building affordable quality homes for Tribes, and to do that we must be accountable to our Tribes, our Tribal members, our Board of Commissioners, partners, and the communities we serve. We are responsive, believe in high quality work, and are committed to those we serve.

Service

We believe that by being focused on quality service through listening to our elders, our leadership, and working together we can create a team that provides the highest quality of service to the Tribes that we partner with.
